I wrote to Golf Score Card Recorder, a company with a product similar to GD SC to see if their product would import GD SC data; and whether their product support the Canadian handicap system. The prompt reply I received is below.
Many thanks for considering our software. I’m afraid that you can’t import data from other software packages into ours, simply because it’s not possible to know how other companies (e.g. Golf Digest Scorecard) store data in their software. If you don’t know how the other software stores data, it makes it impossible to write import routines which can pluck out the information. Sorry.
Canada also uses the same USGA handicap system as America, so all you would need to do is select the "USGA Handicap System"
This is not the response I was hoping to get. If you are going to start over with your data set you migth consider this product.
I had this problem with my VAIO VGN running 32 bit Vista (no input blue screen on the camera capture utility). The camera and utility was working fine when I first bought the laptop. I then had a corrupt hard drive replaced and the electronics store from which I bought the laptop attempted to re-install all of my vista/vaio drivers. I noticed the device manager (control panel) had 'USB Camera' listed under imaging devices so I re-installed the camera driver for my laptop from the sony website: esupport.sony.com (enter model #)--> drivers & software --> camera --> Original - Sony® Visual Communication Camera VGP-VCC8 . Once I ran this install and restarted, the device manager had the Sony Camera listed instead of USB Camera and I was good to go. This may not work for everyone but it worked for me... hope this helps!
Hello all. I have the Sony VAIO PCGA-UVC11A camera. It works great with my Windows Messenger, but I am trying to get a program I can use with it to capture pictures and store them. I don't have a Sony VAIO notebook or desktop, I have a Gateway. I was wondering where I can download the Sony VAIO Camera Capture Utility. I managed to find the latest update for this utility, but not the utility itself. Anybody's help would be much appreciated.
i bought sony vaio VGNCR24G last month and I am not able to use the inbuilt vaio camera utility.while opening the programme a blue screen appears indicating "NO INPUT"As a result the record and capture button are not functioning.
